We made our own small press comic based on the style and layout of John Porcellino's work. We based the content of our comics on his, which are full of real-life stories and accounts with a happy-sad sort of theme. I tried to match my drawings to his style of drawings, and also imitated his style of typography (a mixture of lower case and upper case letters). I am happy with the outcome of my comic. Below are photos of my small press.
When I had finished my comic, I sent it in the post to our classroom. We opened up everyone's comics and passed them around the room to read them in a lesson. Below are photos of our opening ceremony.
